Terms of Use

Last updated: October 1, 2026

These terms apply to the Somni app for iPhone, the Somni mini-app in Telegram and this website (together, “Somni”). “We” and “us” mean the developer of Somni as shown on the App Store listing. By using Somni you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Somni.

Somni is not a medical device.

Somni is an educational wellness product that helps with sleep habits and routines. It is not a medical device, has not been evaluated by the FDA, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or sleep disorder, including insomnia or sleep apnea. Nothing in Somni — including the AI sleep coach — is medical advice, and it does not replace care from a doctor or other qualified healthcare provider. Don’t ignore or delay professional advice because of something you saw in Somni. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911. If you’re in crisis, call or text 988 (US).

1. What Somni is

Somni offers a personal sleep window, an evening routine, habits, a morning check-in, guided audio sessions, a gamified island and an AI sleep coach. Content is general and educational. Results differ from person to person and we don’t promise any specific outcome.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18. Talk to your doctor before using Somni if you have, or suspect, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless legs, bipolar disorder, epilepsy or another condition that less time in bed may worsen; if you are pregnant; if you work night or rotating shifts; or if you take prescribed sleep medication. Some suggestions involve a shorter time in bed for a while, which can make you sleepy during the day: don’t drive or operate machinery when drowsy.

3. The AI sleep coach

The coach’s replies are generated automatically by an AI model. They can be inaccurate, incomplete or not right for you. Use your own judgment, and don’t rely on the coach for medical, psychological or emergency help. Don’t send it information you don’t want processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions

5. Your account and content

Your answers, check-ins and messages belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Somni for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and all data in the app or by writing to us. In-app coins, houses and other virtual items have no money value and can’t be exchanged or transferred.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse Somni: don’t try to break or overload it, access other people’s data, reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows, use the coach to create harmful or illegal content, or resell access. We may suspend accounts that do this.

7. Our content

The app, texts, audio, illustrations, 3D models and the Somni name belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Somni on Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store rules and these terms.

8. Changes and availability

We keep improving Somni and may change, add or remove features. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we’ll tell you in the app about significant changes. If you keep using Somni after that, the new terms apply.

9. Disclaimers and limits of liability

Somni is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any damages greater than what you paid us for Somni in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

10. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for Somni or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and isn’t responsible for any claims relating to the app (including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual-property claims). If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country under a US government embargo and not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. The Apple Standard EULA also applies, and these terms add to it.
